The Anime Experience

There is no light currently and of course there is no Internet. I am writing this in LibreOffice Writer. Since there is no Internet and I don’t want to sleep right now (it’s 10:25 btw), I thought why not write something down. So, today I thought about writing about anime. One of my few interests.

Anime. Japanese animations. I have been watching anime for about 4 years now. I started it during the lockdown of COVID-19. I was introduced to anime by one of my relatives. He was watching Naruto back then and he told me to watch it as well. I had no idea what anime was back then. I knew or at least had heard about Naruto but didn’t know it was an anime. I thought it was a cartoon.

That day, I watched maybe 5 episodes of Naruto and I WAS HOOKED. I watched the first five or so episodes on Netflix. Then I had to leave and before leaving, I asked him from where should I watch Naruto because I didn’t have Netflix. He told me about a website from where I could watch anime illegally. That website was kissanime. Then when I went back to my place, I didn’t continue watching right then. It was still day and I had guests living with us because they were “locked” due to the lockdown.

I continued watching only during the evenings. I would start to watch it from evening to night. I could not watch it much while the guests were there but I after they went back, I watched it a lot. That’s because after the guests left, I got a room in which I could sleep alone. That means, there would be no one stopping me from watching anime all night long. That’s where the fun began. I would kinda code for a bit, like HTML and CSS. And after that, I would start watching Naruto. I would watch it till past midnight.

Around that time, I had discovered a great thing about my laptop. Previously, I had Windows 8.1. That was my first operating system. But one day, during an update, it crashed causing the whole system to be corrupted. Then I had to take it to a shop where the guy installed Windows 7. I asked him to install Windows 10 but he told me that Windows 10 had a lot of bugs and would cause me problems. I thought that was true back then because I had no idea. And after he installed Windows 7, seems like he didn’t install some of the drivers, which I had no idea for years. Like I was using my laptop without having any idea that we also have to install drivers on a laptop. This problem could have been fixed if I had checked for updates but I was too scared to even try to update my laptop after the update of Windows 8 crashed. The guy in the shop had told me to not update ever again.

There were many features which were blocked because of lack of drivers. Like I could not change the brightness, it would always be at max. I could not put my laptop in sleep mode. I could not use the Aero theme of Windows 7, that was the best theme Windows 7 had and I could not use it. High quality videos would not play properly, it would glitch a lot and it was not watchable. I think there were other issues too but I cannot remember then right now.

But one day, I somehow found a software which would find missing drivers and install them for you. I think it is called Driver Hub or something. I have used it on a school computer as well, where I installed missing drivers on that computer. Anyways, after I found that software, I ran it and it downloaded the drivers. I didn’t know those were drivers. In fact, I had no idea what that software was downloading. I blindly trusted it. After downloading, it asked me to restart my laptop. While restarting, I saw on the screen something like, “Installing updates 1/3.” I WAS SCARED AF. I had always been scared of updates because one had corrupted my whole system. I was panicking. But I calmed down. I knew updates were not harmful but I was just too scared.

After sometime, the updates were over. The laptop restarted. And an animation played. AN ANIMATION PLAYED. That had never happened. It was a simple fade in animation that happens after the lock screen on Windows 7. I had, never in my life, seen that in my laptop. It just could not show the animations because of the missing drivers. After that, I noticed the task bar. It was kinda transparent, like a glass. THE AERO THEME!!!!!!!! I was so excited, so excited, I just cannot express it. I still remember that moment. I clicked on the Start Menu, it was different. I also noticed that the sleep mode was not clickable, before it would be grayed out. I tried the sleep mode for the first time. I did not know my power button blinked during sleep mode. I also came to know about the hibernation mode. I learned a lot of stuff after I installed my drivers. I went to Windows Update and checked for updates. There were some updates. I constantly kept on updating from that point. I think Windows 7 was still supported back then. I am not sure or maybe it was something like, you will only receive this update if you already have this update. I don’t know.

I was talking about anime and the flow took me to a different topic. Anyways, just imagine my excitement when my laptop had gone through that change and I was introduced to Naruto. I still remember the episode just before the Sound village attacked the leaf village during the Chunin Exams. I had to sleep right after that episode and I could remember I was so excited to see the next episode. I was ……………. I don’t know. It was just too much of excitement. After that I continuously watched Naruto. Sometimes there would be a few days gap but for most of the time, I consistently watched Naruto. And as time went on, I just could not believe that I completed Naruto. I made a mistake though. I did not know that I had to watch the last movie before finishing the series. Right now, I am confused it I watched it before finishing the series or after. Even if I had watched it before finishing the series, I had watched it too early. I had thought that it was just like other Naruto movies which had no direct connection with the main series but it was different.

After Naruto, I also watched Boruto (by Naruto, I mean both Naruto and Naruto Shippuden). I was told by a lot of people to not watch Boruto but I watched it. I might not be as good as Naruto but it is still watchable and as now, I have heard that the manga has become amazing. I really want to watch Boruto but it seems like the next part is not being released anytime soon.

After that, I lost the track of in what order I watched anime. Even after Boruto, I have watched a lot of anime and I have the list of all the anime I have watched but I just don’t remember the order in which I watched anime. But I can say this for sure that after Boruto, most of the anime which I watched were romance anime and that is the genre which I have watched the most.

The electricity came back a while ago and I tried continuing this in Blogger but the formatting gave me some trouble and I continued it on LibreOffice Writer.

Will there be a Windows 11?

It has been five years since the latest Windows, Windows 10 has released. People have now raised a question, 'Will there be a new Windows or Windows 11?'.  As far as I think, there might not be a new version of Windows. If a new version of Windows arrives the interface have to be new and people will need some to learn how to use properly and this might be difficult for huge companies and offices. And there might also be some programs that run only in the current version of Windows and the programs may be corrupt and not work properly if it is running in a new OS and people might have to make a new program that runs in the new OS. So instead of a new version of Windows, Microsoft might add new features and bring updates for the current version of Windows, Windows 10 and make it better and continue the current version rather than bringing up a new one.
